BOROUGH ORDINANCES & RESOLUTIONS
A great many of the Borough Ordinances were "codified" in the mid-1980s. These individual Ordinances were placed into a book called the "Code of Ordinances Borough of Clarks Summit.
The first Borough Ordinances was adopted on April 3rd, 1912
Borough Ordinances and Borough Resolutions are maintained at the Administrative Offices of the Borough. These may be viewed during normal working hours, Monday thru Friday (except Holidays) from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.
A copy of all Borough Ordinances is also sent and maintained at the Lackawanna County Law Library, Court House (basement) in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
A copy of the "Code of Ordinances Borough of Clarks Summit" is also on file at the Abington Community Library, Winola Road and West Grove Street. This copy should be used for general reference purposes only! Since 1994 the Borough has updated, amended, repealed and adopted many new Borough Ordinances. For the most current information, please check with the Borough administrative staff.
